Juicing for health
I have lost count of the number of days juicing, maybe 50. I am still juicing morning and dinner. And I have a really healthy, primarily vegetable , lunch. My lunch was a warm potato salad with tomato, green bean, red onion. Today I made a cucumber, kale, lemon, apple and carrot juice.A simple juice but really cuts the appetite for snacks at night. My go to snack is almonds, walnuts and raisins. This is my trail mix.
During the juicing diet, I have learned to really examen food. Meaning, If I have to go out with my family. I have learned to order either vegetarian dishes, soups, vegetable sides etc. I omit high calorie parts of the meal, such as more veggies for rice or bread. These things have always been on the menu. I just never saw them for. I do not make a habit of eating out but if I do, I make good choices.
I admit the journey is a tough one. I have hard times keeping on the juicing diet especially when my life gets hectic. But I keep the faith and start again. The benefits are too great. And I believe I was hurting myself eating the other way.
